142 Main St, Sandwich, MA 02563 Mass Action + Your Voice in Legislation. Nancy Brumback is our speaker on the 16th of this month at the Sandwich Library.

As chair of the LWVMA Legislative Action Committee, Nancy will speak about how bills make their way through the Legislature's two-year session, each followed by a designated League legislative specialist who researches the bill, recommends League action and writes testimony on the League's position to submit to the relevant committee of the Legislature. She will also share with us how we, as individual members, can support/advocate for those bills.

The meeting will be held in the basement of the library (coffee will be available).

The Library is located in the middle of Sandwich Village, across from Dan'l Webster Inn, where Main Street and Route 130 converge.

In Fall 2018, we will be electing one U.S. senator, nine U.S. representatives, our governor and other state constitutional officers, all state legislators in both houses, and other positions.

WE NEED YOU to create a 30-second video to remind people to GET IN THE GAME...AND VOTE! Democracy is not a spectator sport and no one should sit on the sidelines.

We will publicize the videos throughout the state, and you could win up to $500 for your entry.

Help us motivate the vote by entering your video between February 1 and March 31, 2018.
